Stratford Academy junior Tejas Athni was recently selected as an International Finalist for the 2017 ISWEEEP (International Sustainable Energy, Engineering, and Environment Project Olympiad) science fair to be held in Houston, TX in May. The International Sustainable World (Engineering Energy Environment) Project Olympiad draws hundreds of the brightest STEM-focused students in the world together each year to compete in a fun and collaborative environment.
"Harmony Public Schools launched ISWEEEP 10 years ago in an effort to spark interest among young innovators for exploring solutions to our sustainability challenges. The competition expanded as students across the globe accepted the challenge of solving the world's most pressing needs. Now, student scientists travel from approximately 70 countries, including the United States, to compete in ISWEEEP where their projects explore topics such as renewable energy, sustainable development and medical breakthroughs."
Tejas is the son of Dr. Sudhir and Ashwini Athni of Macon, GA.
