Dear Stratford community,
To honor our dear friend, classmate, and loving soul, the Walker Bethune Memorial Blood Drive and CPR course will be held in his memory. Walker brightened everyone's day and always helped people. Key Club would like to honor him and his accomplishments through this Blood Drive. These events will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd in the Jett Science Center. The First Aid and CPR course will be from 8am-12pm in the Stefanis Lecture Hall and the blood drive will take place from 1-6pm in the Dorogy Room. Please join us in honoring Walker Bethune.
During the blood drive, Stratford Key Club and the Red Cross will practice safety precautions, including: requiring a mask (if a donor does not have a mask, one will be provided), following social distancing, sterilizing areas after each donor completes a donation, and taking the temperature of each donor to verify he or she is fever-free on the day of donation.
We absolutely need you to come out and donate, or if you cannot donate, please volunteer on August 2nd. The link for the sign up sheet for donors is here. If you are 16, please have a parent or guardian print and fill out this form and bring it to the blood drive. To volunteer to help run the drive click here.
The Red Cross Rapid Pass for the blood drive is here. You can also look up our blood drive on the Red Cross website; our zip code is 31220. The Rapid Pass is only valid for one day so please fill it out on August 2nd.
At Stratford we will do our very best to keep you safe while donating so you can continue to save lives. If you have any questions about giving blood, feel free to click this link; or if you have any questions about the drive, please contact one of our vice presidents: Edie Sharpton at edie.sharpton@apps.stratford.org or Sophia Tang at sophia.tang@apps.stratford.org.
Sincerely,
Edie Sharpton & Sophia Tang
