We are pleased to announce that Chance Jones has been named head football coach at Stratford Academy replacing Mark Farriba who is retiring as head football coach. Coach Jones has served as offensive coordinator at Stratford for the past two years. Prior to that, Coach Jones served as head football coach at Tattnall Square Academy in Macon from 2016 – 2019. He had a 30-15 record at Tattnall leading the Trojans to a region championship in 2016 and a sub-region championship in 2018. Coach Jones' 2016 team made it to the GHSA A Private State Semifinals. Coach Jones began his coaching career at Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia in 2010. While serving as offensive coordinator at Prince Avenue, the Wolverines advanced to the GHSA A Private State Semifinals in 2011 and 2015, and GHSA A Private State Finals in the Georgia Dome in 2012.
Coach Jones was an honor graduate of the Westfield School in Perry, Georgia, where he also served as senior class president. In addition, he was a cum laude graduate from the University of Georgia graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in Biology.
Coach Jones is married to the former Caroline Amos from Perry, Georgia.
