Just a reminder .....Beginning in January, the first Wednesday of every month will no longer be a late start. School will begin at its normal start time of 8:25.
Stratford's intention behind these late-start days was to give our faculty and staff time to engage in professional development opportunities during the delayed start time for school. However, the issues that come along with a late start (shortened classes, altered schedules, disruption to the preschool's half-day schedule, interfering with before school athletic workouts, etc…) has created additional headaches! Additionally, since August, the number of students arriving to campus "early" (before our start time of 9:30) has grown steadily and more faculty are needed for supervision which pulls them away from professional development opportunities. Therefore, the first Wednesday of every month will no longer be a late start.
However, we absolutely love gathering as an all-school family each month, so we will continue to have our brief assembly on the first Wednesday of each month beginning at 8:30. We had a wonderful assembly Wednesday, January 5th focusing on this month's philanthropy animal rescue. As always, parents are welcome to join us for this brief gathering.
