When can my family visit Stratford Academy?

We would love to have you visit while school is in session so you can experience Stratford “in action” through a campus tour or a shadow day; however, if you cannot make it during the school year, tours are available year-round.Please contact the Admissions Office at 478-477-8073 ext. 203 to set up an appointment.

How diverse is your student body?

Diversity is very important to us. We are dedicated to being a school community which represents a broad range of ethnic, religious, socioeconomic, and racial diversity. Students of color represent 21% of our current population.

How do I arrange a shadow day for my child?

We recommend that all applicants visit Stratford for a shadow day to get a true feel for our school. Please contact the Admissions Office at 478-477-8073 ext. 203 to schedule a shadow day. We like to hear from you personally so we can get an idea of your child’s interests inside and outside of the classroom before paring him or her with a shadow buddy.

What does Stratford look for in candidates for admissions?

In every applicant’s case, Stratford looks for a “good fit” - academically, socially, and behaviorally. Our goal is to admit students who have the will to work hard and the desire to be successful.

Does my child need to take a test to be considered for admission?

Yes. All applicants need to take our admissions test. The test can be scheduled in conjunction with a shadow day or campus tour or on a separate day. Please contact the Admissions Office at 478-477-8073 ext. 203 to schedule your child’s admissions test.

How do I apply for financial aid?

Our financial aid application opens November 15th. Anyone can apply for our need-based aid. Go to www.sssbynais.org and click on parent portal. New users will have to create an account. You must reapply for financial aid every year.

Camp Eagle Specialized Half-Day Camps

Our half-day specialized summer camps offer a more tailored summer camp experience for your child. Whether their passion lies in Disney sing-alongs or you're interested in signing them up for a SAT Prep camp, these half day camps are a perfect blend of learning and excitement, designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and develop new skills—all in a supportive and dynamic environment.

2025 Specialty Camps:

This year we have over 60 camps to choose from for children in preschool through 12th grade. With a variety of specialized offerings, from arts and STEAM to outdoor adventures and creative expression, our camps provide hands-on experiences tailored to your child's interests. Led by educators and experienced mentors, each session is crafted to build passion, inspire creativity, promote critical thinking, and encourage teamwork.

What are the age and grade requirements?

What will my camper need for camp?

Come dressed to play and to be indoor and outdoor-ready.
- Wear closed-toe shoes. No crocs.
- Make sure to apply sunscreen before camp.
If registered for a water camp, send your child in their water wear with an extra set of clothes to change into.
Bring a full water bottle with your camper's name on it. Water stations will be available to refill bottles as needed.
- Electrolyte drinks are acceptable for camps that are outside and require electrolyte replenishment.
- Please avoid sending tea or sodas, as they can dehydrate your camper.

What should I not bring?

Registration and Payment:

Registrations can be complete on our Camp Eagle Summer Program CheddarUp Page.
Payment for the camp is due at the time of registration.
- If you select cash/check your Stratford account will be billed at the start of the class. This option is ONLY available for current Stratford families.
- By registering, you are committing to pay for the class in its entirety.
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the camp to avoid cancellation charges or receive a refund.
If a student comes to a class they are not registered for, there will be a 10% fee added to the cost of the class.

Camp Hours and Pricing:

Morning and afternoon specialty camps are offered June 2 - August 1.
Campus is closed and there are no camps June 30 - July 4.

Morning: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Extended care from 7AM - 9AM and/or 4PM - 6PM is available for an additional $25 per week per time slot. You can select these options on the CheddarUp site as needed.

We have several options for full-day and mid-day camps this year.

Snacks and Lunch:

Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided either by camp instructors as a part of registration.

For anyone registered for same day morning and afternoon camps, a fresh, farm-to-table, kid-friendly lunch is provided by FLIK Independent School Dining, Stratford's dining partner, using locally sourced ingredients, encouraging healthy eating habits and introducing children to fresh flavors.

Drop Off and Pick Up:

Drop-off and pick-up for the specialty camps without extended care will be communicated the Thursday prior to camp.

If a child is dropped off or picked up at any other time, parents will need to bring them into the Preschool building or come inside to pick them up.

Behavior and Discipline

Participation follows Stratford Academy's behavior policies. Repeated violations may result in suspension without a refund. If dismissed due to behavior issues, your child must be picked up immediately.
