Stratford Academy is pleased to welcome our new Security Officer, Justin Brown. For Justin, joining Stratford is an opportunity to serve a school that is already an important part of his family’s life.

Justin’s wife, Adair Brown, teaches Middle and Upper School mathematics at Stratford, and their children, Claire and Davis, are Stratford students. His connection to the school gives him a personal understanding of the importance of creating an environment where students can learn and grow with confidence.

Justin brings significant experience in law enforcement, emergency response, and leadership. He served more than two decades in the Army National Guard, retiring as a Platoon Sergeant after deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He also served as a Detective and Staff Sergeant with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, where he was recognized as Deputy of the Year in 2014, and later as a Patrol Officer with the Goose Creek Police Department in South Carolina.

As he begins his role at Stratford, Justin says building relationships will be central to his approach to campus safety.

“I believe that effective school security starts with building trust, maintaining open communication, and being a visible and approachable presence on campus.”

Justin looks forward to getting to know Stratford’s students, employees, and families while becoming even more deeply connected to the school’s culture and traditions.
