Teams representing Stratford placed 1st and 2nd out of 17 teams at this year’s Magnolia Soap Box Derby. This is the first time two teams from the same school have taken the top two spots. Finishing second, with a time of 9.738 seconds, was the Peak Road Pit Crew composed of driver, Ramzi Harley, and crew, Jude Burgess, Christopher Evans, and Griffin Moore. Finishing first, with a time of 9.723 seconds, was the Eagle Engineers composed of driver, Hudson Hitt, and crew, Druv Das, Thomas Mann, Aaron Patel, Rahul Pavuluri, Drew Pavlo. The Eagle Engineers also won the “Best in Show” award given to the team with the most votes in an on-line poll. Both cars were designed and built by the upper school Engineering and Robotics class.
