Boyd brings a student-centered heart to one of the school’s most beloved learning spaces. 

Stratford Academy is pleased to announce Sally Boyd as the next Director of Olson Library Services, a role that will allow her to continue serving students and families in a new and meaningful way.

Boyd first joined Stratford in 2020 as a lead teacher in the Preschool and became School Counselor in 2022. In that role, she has supported students across divisions while partnering closely with faculty, staff, and families. As a parent to three Eagles, Boyd also understands Stratford through the lens of family experience, giving her a personal appreciation for the important role the Olson Library plays in the life of the school.

With a background in counseling and early childhood education, she brings a thoughtful, developmentally informed perspective to the Olson Library. Her experience supporting students at every level has shaped a relational approach that will help the library remain a place where students feel known and inspired to learn more about themselves and the world around them. 

“Sally Boyd is a perfect choice to lead the Olson Library,” said Beth Passante, former Director of Library Services. “Her dynamic, welcoming personality exemplifies the character and professionalism needed to carry out this important work. Sally will continue the library’s strong programming while bringing new energy and opportunities to campus. I look forward to supporting her as a volunteer and helping ensure a smooth transition.”

More than a traditional library, the 17,500-square-foot Olson Library serves as a center for reading, research, and discovery for students from Little Eagles through twelfth grade, as well as Stratford families and the broader community.

As Director of Library Services, Boyd will oversee the library’s programming, collections, archives, academic resources, book fairs, and special events while continuing to cultivate a welcoming and purposeful space for learning.

She is especially passionate about helping students see books not only as academic resources, but also as pathways to deeper understanding, reflection, and personal growth.

Boyd shared that she has long admired the library program and the role it plays in the Stratford experience, describing the Olson Library as “more than a place for books — it is a place of curiosity and connection for our Stratford family.”

Stratford looks forward to the leadership Boyd will bring to the Olson Library as it continues to reflect the school’s commitment to excellence and community.
