Stratford Academy’s MATHCOUNTS team recently competed in the local MATHCOUNTS competition held at Columbus Technical College in Columbus, Georgia. MATHCOUNTS is a rigorous academic program for students in grades 6–8, featuring topics such as algebra, geometry, counting and probability, logic, statistics, and number theory. Students compete both individually and as part of a team, advancing from local to state and national levels.

Our team earned an impressive second-place finish at the local competition. Team members included Bella Jayne Patterson, David Bahar, Jayden Xu, Rowan Thillainathan, Luke Causey, and Vyom Bhasin.

Individually, Jayden Xu placed in the top 10 competitors and advanced to the Sprint Round. Additionally, Luke Causey, Vyom Bhasin, Jayden Xu, and David Bahar ranked among the top 14 individual students, earning invitations to compete at the state-level MATHCOUNTS competition.
