A Special Visit with Golden Boy Author A.J. Symons

Stratford students had the privilege of welcoming A.J. Symons, author of Golden Boy, to campus.

Symons, joined by his service dog, Bubba, spent time with Stratford’s fourth and fifth grade students, sharing an excerpt from Golden Boy and giving students the special opportunity to hear directly from the author behind the story.

More than a chance to enjoy the book, the visit gave students a firsthand look at the writing process and the person behind the words on the page. Hearing directly from a published author helped students make connections between the stories they read in the classroom and the creativity, experiences, and ideas that bring those stories to life.

Thank you to A.J. and Bubba for spending time with our Eagles and creating a memorable learning experience for our young readers and writers!
