Annually, the Stratford Athletic Hall of Fame considers nominations for induction of individual athletes, coaches, supporters, and teams, which have made significant contributions to the rich athletic history of our school. For 2026, these individuals have been selected for induction as the Class of 2026 during our Alumni Weekend this fall.

2009–2012 Varsity Softball Teams

Few teams in Stratford athletics history have achieved the level of sustained excellence demonstrated by the 2009–2012 Varsity Softball Teams. During this extraordinary four-year stretch, the Eagles compiled more than 100 victories while capturing four consecutive GISA State Championships—a feat unmatched in Stratford fast-pitch softball history.

Even more impressive, every fast-pitch softball state championship in Stratford Academy history was earned during this remarkable run. Led by Coach Jeff Treadway, these teams established a championship culture built on talent, hard work, and exceptional leadership. The program produced numerous All-State selections, collegiate athletes, and record-setting performances that continue to rank among the best in school history.

The 2009–2012 Varsity Softball Teams represent one of the greatest dynasties in Stratford athletics and helped set a standard of excellence that continues to inspire Eagle athletes today.

Jonathan Hefner ’14

One of the most accomplished multi-sport athletes ever to wear the Stratford star, Jonathan Hefner ’14 excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track, earning four-year letterman status in all four sports.

Jonathan's athletic versatility and competitive spirit made him a difference-maker wherever he competed. On the football field, he authored one of the greatest seasons in school history, setting Stratford single-season records with 1,024 receiving yards and 19 touchdown receptions, including an incredible eight touchdowns during the state playoffs. His performance earned him recognition as The Telegraph All-Middle Georgia GISA Player of the Year, along with All-State, All-Region, and All-Bibb County honors.

His impact extended well beyond football. Jonathan was an All-State performer in both basketball and baseball, helped lead Stratford basketball to Region Championships and the 2014 State Championship, and was a member of four state championship track teams. Known for delivering in the biggest moments, he built a reputation as a competitor who thrived under pressure and elevated those around him.

Beyond the statistics and accolades, Jonathan embodied Eagle Pride through his leadership, character, and commitment to his teammates, leaving a lasting legacy on Stratford athletics.
