Upper School Biology Teacher

The Upper School at Stratford is seeking an engaging, passionate, and innovative Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Ideal candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses across grades 9-12 based on the needs of the Science department and also possibly those of the Math department. Athletics
Athletic Trainer
Stratford Academy, a K-12 co-educational independent school in Macon, GA, is seeking applicants for the full-time, 12-month position of Athletic Trainer to begin on June 1, 2025.
Stratford Academy is seeking an experienced, adept, and committed Athletic Trainer with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the athletic trainer field. They should provide athletic trainer coverage for high and middle school athletics and serve on the school’s crisis team for emergencies during the school day. They should hold a master’s degree (MSAT) and be certified in first aid/CPR and Medication Administration.
Other duties of this position include:
- Establish an effective athletic training program for high school and middle school athletics.
- Responsible for prevention, emergency care, first aid, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries to athletes under his/her care.
- Serve as liaison between the team physician, the athlete, the athlete’s parents, and coaching staff.
- Consultant to coaching staff on conditioning, nutrition, and protective equipment.
- This position will also work with the school nurse to review student physicals, concussion protocol, and nutritional needs of our students.
- Provide coverage at all home athletic events and any other events as specified by the Athletic Director.
- Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room.
- File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents.
- Equip each team with appropriate medical equipment.
- Provide emergency care and first aid including availability of necessary equipment, communication procedures for emergency situations, and prompt, accurate triage.
- Evaluate acute and chronic injuries and refer to the team physician or specialist where appropriate. Help decide if a player may return to competition following an injury.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Head of Advancement
Stratford Academy is seeking a strategic, results-driven leader with a passion for building meaningful relationships to lead the school’s development and fundraising efforts as the Head of Advancement. Serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this visionary individual will partner with and report directly to the Head of School to advance Stratford’s mission and drive long-term sustainability. We are looking for a big-picture thinker with excellent communication skills, proven leadership experience in K-12 or higher education advancement (or a related field), and a strong track record of successfully achieving and surpassing ambitious goals.
In this role, the Head of Advancement will design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy encompassing alumni relations, donor stewardship, major gifts, planned giving, the Annual Fund, Georgia GOAL, and an upcoming major campaign. Key responsibilities include conducting a feasibility study, leading donor research and cultivation efforts, and collaborating closely with the Board of Trustees to guide Stratford through its next multi-million-dollar campaign.
The Head of Advancement will advance Stratford’s mission by developing and executing a strategic communications plan to engage and steward donors while aligning all efforts with the school’s strategic objectives. This leader will foster genuine connections with alumni, donors, Board members, and parents through compelling communication and a visible, approachable presence within Stratford and the Middle Georgia community.
The Head of Advancement will develop a strategy to expand the Annual Fund to exceed $1 million annually and explore opportunities for grant funding and strategic partnerships. Additionally, they will work closely with the Head of School and the Enrollment Management team to align marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies with Stratford's overarching goals. Business Services Coordinator
Position Summary:
This position is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Business Office Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for managing key financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate financial transactions while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and check requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify proper documentation and approvals for all disbursements
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all AP transactions
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Prepare and send invoices to customers or clients
- Track incoming payments and follow up on overdue accounts
- Post payments to appropriate accounts and maintain accurate records
- Prepare AR aging reports and assist with collections when needed
Payroll:
- Process bi-weekly (or applicable frequency) payroll for employees
- Ensure compliance with wage, hour, and tax regulations
- Maintain payroll records and handle confidential information with discretion
- Prepare payroll reports and coordinate with HR for benefits and deductions
General Office Support:
- Assist with month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
