NEW ALUMNI EVENT IN 2013

In memory of classmate, Sam Anderson, the Class of 1988 will host the first Sam Anderson Memorial Flag Football Game during Alumni Weekend 2013. The game will be a 7-on-7 flag football format and any interested alumni is welcome to play. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Andy Anderson Institute, an organization established to assist families coping with addiction. More details will follow. ANNUAL ALUMNI V. VARSITY EAGLES SOCCER GAME HELD IN MARCH

On March 16, more than 25 alumni soccer players joined together for the Alumni vs. Varsity Eagles annual soccer game. After a tough competition on the Spencer Frank Hays Field, the varsity Eagle families hosted a  picnic for alumni and their guests following the game.  

GREAT DAY AT THE BALLPARK FOR ANNUAL ALUMNI BASEBALL GAME 

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, former Eagle baseball players, coaches and managers returned to Bobby Hendley Field at the Bubber Adams Baseball Complex for the annual Alumni Baseball Game. The Homerun Derby started the day with Coach Bobby Hendley on the mound. Three Eagles - Brett Hendley '86, Jay Cranford '89 and Harrison Parker '09 - made it to the final round with one homerun each. Harrison Parker pulled through as the 2013 Homerun Derby Champ with two for the day. Following the derby, more than twenty Eagles took the field for our navy vs. white nine inning competition. Greg Parker '83 called the game as players from the 70's through 2012 took the plate. A family-style cookout for alums, coaches, managers and their families proceeded the game.   

ALUMS HIT THE COURTS AT THE ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAMES 

 The 2012 alumni basketball games took place on Wednesday, December 19, in the Stratford Gymnasium. Eagles and Eaglettes from five decades participated in this annual holiday event. It was a great night of hoops as the alumni players participated in Alum v. Alum games and Alum v. the Varsity Eagles. The players battled it out on the court and were cheered on by the current Stratford students, parents and alumni. A great time was had by all - even though there were a few sore muscles the next day. Special thanks to Head Boys' Basketball Coach Jamie Dickey and Director of Alumni, Jaime Kaplan for coordinating this annual event. 
 

 
ALUMNI HOMECOMING WEEKEND
OCTOBER 4-5, 2013 

Each year, Stratford alumni are invited as special guests to the school's Homecoming Weekend. A BBQ picnic is held for all alumni and their families prior to the Homecoming Football Game. During the football game, alumni are welcomed back to their alma mater. Many reunion year classes choose to host their class reunions during this time. The 2013 Alumni-Homecoming Weekend will be held October 4-5, 2013.

10 a.m. Stratford Athletic Hall of Fame Class Induction ceremony in the Stratford gymnasium

6-7:30 p.m. All alumni and their families are invited to a BBQ on Soccer Field prior to he Homecoming Football Game

7:30 p.m. Stratford Homecoming Football Game - All alumni and their families receive complimentary admission to the Homecoming football game.

10:30 a.m. Campus Tours - meet in the school lobby

REUNIONS

Like most schools, Stratford Academy hosts Class Reunions on a five-year rotating schedule. Typically, the senior class president or an appointed representative will coordinate the reunion activities. If you are interested in serving as a reunion coordinator for your class, please contact Jaime.Kaplan@stratford.org.

ALUMNI GATHERINGS

Don't be surprised if you hear that Stratford is coming to town.
