50th Anniversary
As most of you know, Stratford Academy is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Please make sure you have the following special events highlighted on your busy spring calendar .
March 8 – 26, 2010 - Stratford Parent and Alumni Art Show
Stop by Stratford and see some of the creative works by Stratford parents and alumni. The Virginia Parker Buzzell Gallery is now filled with art of various media for your viewing pleasure. We will have an artists' reception on Sunday, March 21, 2010 form 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Please join us for this artists' meet and greet.
March 26 – Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day
Stratford Pre-School and Lower School students will perform a special program at 10:00 a.m. celebrating Stratford and its 50 Years of Excellence. There will be a surprise “finale” featuring the voices of students and some Stratford alumni as well. Prior to the performance, there will be a reception and art show for Grandparents and Special Friends to enjoy.
April 16, 2010 - Stratford Academy 50th Anniversary Gala
This nostalgic celebration of Stratford’s 50th birthday will take place on April 16, 2010 at “Old Stratford” - the place where it all began. Mercer’s Woodruff House will be the ideal setting for this festive celebration which will include food, drink, live entertainment from alumni bands and singers, and a silent auction. Tickets will be $50 each and we hope to have guests from each graduating class in attendance. Be on the lookout for your invitation which will be mailed out in early March. We still need volunteers to help with the event. If you are willing to lend a hand, please email Cynde Dickey at cdickey@dickeyfarms.com .
