Daddies’ and Special Friends’ Breakfast
Each year in February, Preschool through fifth grade students invite their fathers and special friends to come to breakfast in the school cafeteria. This breakfast is organized and staffed by members of this specific SIP Committee and the Office of Institutional Advancement.
The prekindergarten and kindergarten children invite their moms to come to the classrooms on a date in May to celebrate Mother’s Day. The children entertain with poems and songs and then serve refreshments.
During the last week of school, the Lower and Middle School present year-end awards programs. Parents and friends are encouraged to be present.
Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day is an annual event for Preschool and Lower School students and their grandparents. Grandparents are invited to the school for a special day of activities. Grandparents’ Day is planned and organized by the Office of Institutional Advancement with assistance from the SIP Grandparents’ Day Committee.
Field days are scheduled in the Spring for students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth. Students participate in a variety of activities. The focus of the day is experiential in nature, rather than competitive. Parents and friends are encouraged to attend.
