Stratford's Upper School Faculty Recognition Award was conceived as a vehicle for congratulating and encouraging those students who genuinely give their best effort throughout the semester, who come to class prepared on a regular basis and who exhibit a positive attitude toward their work. Sometimes these students will earn excellent grades for their hard work, but an excellent course grade is not a criterion for this recognition. The principal calls for nominations from the faculty at the end of each semester. Students who are nominated by as many as two faculty members are named to the list for that semester.

Stratford's Middle School Quiz Bowl Team was a big winner at the PAGE Academic Bowl state semifinals held at Georgia College, January 23, 2010. The team will now advance to the state finals on February 13, 2010. The team currently ranks as one of the top four middle school teams in Georgia out of hundreds of private and public school teams throughout the State.
